On 9th October, the trailer of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb was just dropped on the internet, and fans are loving it!
In a matter of hours, the trailer garnered more than 2 million views. The film is set to be a Diwali release.
All of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani fans were awaiting the Laxmmi Bomb trailer since the news first spread. The film is a rare combination of horror and humour and addresses several serious issues.
Laxmmi Bomb, directed by Raghava Lawrence, is scheduled to be released on November 9 this year on Disney+Hotstar. In the film, Akshay plays the character of Raghav who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender woman and two other ghosts. Kiara Advani is playing the role of Akshay Kumar's wife.
Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of a Tamil Film named "Kanchana" wherein a man named Raghava becomes possessed by the spirits of three ghosts, a transgender woman, a Muslim man, and an intellectually disabled boy. The original was directed by Raghava Lawrence as well who also played the main character.
Many of Akshay's co-stars such as Kriti Sanon and Bhumi Pednekar also shared shout-outs for the Laxmmi Bomb trailer. Apart from it, many celebs also took to Twitter to share their love for this trailer. Karan Johar tweeted: "What a kickass trailer, Akshay! Congratulations to the team for this cracker of a trailer."
Taapsee Pannu shared her disappointment in not being able to watch it in the theatres. Varun's tweet read, "Hum hain seedha saadha Akshay Akshay."
Fans also loved Kiara and Akshay in the film and took to Twitter to praise the actors. They also took some dialogues from the trailer to make memes featuring Akshay Kumar's dialogue, especially, "Main iss area ki queen hun."
