From 1st March, people above the age of 60 or those over 45 with comorbidities will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine shot. People can take the shot at various government centres for free of cost or for a pre-fixed amount at private centres across the country.
People who are eligible can register themselves on the Co-WIN platform. Apart from registration, people can just walk-in at a nearby session site to get themselves registered to get vaccinated.
To register, a beneficiary can put in their mobile number and will receive an OTP to create their account. You can also register your family members with your account.
To start your registration on Co-WIN 2.0, follow the following steps:
1) Visit the official website of Co-WIN at cowin.gov.in.
2) Enter your 10-digit mobile number or Aadhaar number to register yourself
3) By entering the number, you will receive an OTP, and you have to submit it.
4) You will receive your scheduled date and time to be present there.
5) After this, you will receive a Reference ID by which you can get your vaccination certificate.
Here are the following documents you need for the Co-WIN 2.0 registration process:
1) For people above 60, they need to carry their aadhar card or ID card.
2) For people above 45 with comorbidities, they have to upload their medical certificate mentioning their condition.
The vaccination process will take place at 10,000 government centres and at more than 20,000 private centres from 1st March.
